ABOUT US
Julie is a single mother of three. She has two handsome sons and a beautiful daughter. She is also a board member of the Brittaney Ann Foundation (www.brittaneyann.org).
Julie started life in Springdale, AR. In her early years she lived in Oklahoma and Texas with her family. At age nine she found herself back in Arkansas living in a little town called St. Paul. She has remained there except for a few years spent in Wyoming.
As a young girl and through adulthood, Julie, learned to cook by her mother, Elaine, and her Grandmother Duncan. Her passion for cooking stemmed from these two wonderful southern women, which has led to the place she is now, co-owner of Julameez.
Amy is a single mother of an adorable little boy and holds dear to her heart two young ladies she was proud to call her step daughters while married to their father.
Amy was born near St. Louis, Missouri. As a young child she moved with her family to a southern Missouri town called, Poplar Bluff, in which she spent most of her childhood there. During this time Amy also lived in Florida and Arizona. In 1991 her mother and little brother were driving Through Northwest Arkansas and one year later Amy was a citizen of this wonderful community and has proudly called Northwest Arkansas home ever since.
Amy's very talented mother, Carolyn, was taught how to cook by Amy's two Grandmothers. Carolyn passed this love of cooking on to Amy starting at a very early age. With this history and love of cooking Amy felt confident that being co-owner of Julameez was a perfect fit.
Julie and Amy were both at a crossroads in their lives. Julie decided she wanted to open a much needed kitchen store and invited Amy along for the ride. With their friendship and family ties (they were married to brothers) they have embarked on the journey of their lives.
For those of you who are curious about the name Julameez, their daughters came up with the name and spelling of Julameez, which of course is Julie and Amy combined.
